Former team captain and current BCCI president Saurabh Ganguly’s family members have been found to be Kovid-19 positive. Saurabh Ganguly’s elder brother and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) secretary Snehasish Ganguly was infected with the deadly virus, according to the state health department.

In addition, Snehashish’s wife has also been infected with the virus. According to a media report, Snehasish’s father-in-law and father-in-law were also found to be virus-infected last week.

Business Insider India quoted a senior official as saying, “The four complained of health-related symptoms like COVID-19 infection when they were living elsewhere instead of Ganguly’s ancestral home in Behala. The four family members were admitted to a private nursing home after the test report came back positive.

Sources in the nursing home said, “Whether or not they will be discharged depends on the test report.” Earlier, Ganguly had said that cricket will be restored when the virus is eradicated.

Indian cricket and related activities are currently under a break due to Corona virus. Not only this, but the prestigious T20 League IPL has also been postponed indefinitely.
