The Indian Navy’s P-8I surveillance aircraft are constantly hovering in eastern Ladakh in the wake of tensions with China and now preparations are underway to put on board the MiG-29K. The deployment of these naval warships at different bases of the Air Force is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s instructions and the thinking of Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat.

United action of three forces

The Prime Minister instructed to coordinate the three arms of the Army – Army, Navy, and Airforce. At the same time, the CDS has given the vision to deploy air force as well as naval warplanes on the northern or western borders of the country. Government sources said, “The fighter aircraft of the MiG-29 is being planned to be deployed at the Airforce base in the Northern sector.” They can be used for operational flights (operational flying) on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. ‘

Navy’s major role in surveillance on LAC

The Indian Navy is playing an important role in monitoring the LAC amid an ongoing dispute with the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China.
