The PLA soldier was identified as Corporal Wang Ya Long. In a statement released earlier, the Indian army had said that it had received a request from the PLA about the whereabouts of the missing soldier.

A People’s Liberation Army soldier, who was caught by the Indian army for straying across the contested Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, was on Tuesday handed back to China at the Chushul Moldo meeting point, officials said.

The fighter was held in eastern Ladakh’s Demchok area in the midst of the continuous fringe deadlock in the delicate theater where the two armed forces have conveyed more than 50,000 soldiers each alongside cutting-edge weapons and frameworks.

The PLA fighter was recognized as Corporal Wang Ya Long. In an announcement delivered before, the Indian armed force had said that it had gotten a solicitation from the PLA about the whereabouts of the missing fighter.

“According to set up conventions, he will be gotten back to Chinese authorities at the Chushul-Moldo meeting point after fruition of customs,” the military explanation had said.

The PLA had given an announcement on Monday late evening saying a trooper disappeared while searching for lost yaks on the night of October 18. “After the episode, Chinese fringe watches stepped up to the plate and report the circumstance to the Indian side as quickly as time permits, and trusted that the Indian side would aid search and salvage,” Colonel Zhang Shuili, representative of the Western Theater Command, included.

As the Ladakh theater keeps on staying tense, during the seventh round of military commandants’ discussions on October 12 to defuse strain along LAC, the Indian side requested complete separation at all flashpoints and reclamation of the norm risk of early April. The different sides have consented to proceed with the exchange cycle to show up at a commonly worthy answer for early separation in the eastern Ladakh.

India and China are relied upon to hold the eighth round of military talks this week, albeit a date has not been declared at this point.
